James A. Stevens Ph.D.


Dr. Stevens has over 35 years experience in military communications and wireless networking at Rockwell Collins. As a Network Architect, he designs military wireless communications “across the spectrum” including waveforms, protocols, radios, and systems from VLF through EHF with a special emphasis on mobile ad hoc networking (MANET). He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). In 1998, Dr. Stevens was a finalist for Rockwell Collins Engineer of the Year, and, in 2003, with 32 patents to his name, he was Inventor of the Year. In 2014, he was named to the company’s inaugural class of Fellows.
